Great surf day
Waves were 1-3, occasional 4. Caught all the waves far out again, practiced hitting the nose but wiped out a couple times and had to swim to shore. And I saw a fellow ACE!

The World Really Is Too Overpopulated
I’ve always been quite passive about the environment. But it’s different now. More people means more idiots. Going to malls was one thing. Seeing people living in the illusions of their egos, dressed in the ugliest of clothes just consuming and consuming. But going to the beach is a whole new thing. To get that same disgust and depressing feeling as when I go to the mall at the beach...

I'm working by a reference librarian
with double majored and mastered in library science and she’s been dealing with this really elder chemistry professor for like 1 hour who went to undergrad in 1943 and hes just asking for all these sources on like structures of lactone ester carboxylic acids that hydrolyzes  and stuff. lol. I wish I could be brilliant with a giant history of MIT research and stuff like that. It’s...

Theory on why older people are depressed
My professor’s colleague from Scripps hypothesized that the reason is Shifting Baselines. A fisherman in the 1940’s encountered varieties of fish, giant predators, but most importantly bigger sizes and types. The fisherman would catch giant fish nonstop as the norm. A fisherman now would encounter barely any fish and be extremely excited to even catch one “big” fish.

My grandparents are arguing
And now I can’t sleep in Last week they were coming home and my grandpa accidentally closed the garage door on her head apparently. And somehow it boiled down to the past where they were divorced and now they’re arguing about who sponsored who to America. I wish everyone could hear how Asians argue. It’s so loud and inhuman and nonsensical. At this age, sure, being able to...

Living in the Wilderness
I was first inspired to live in the wilderness by myself when I was introduced to Henry David Thoreau. This black haired Spanish girl that was passively hipster who went to the Che cafe for indie concerts and ate vegetarian from Madison summer school would go into deep conversations with me about life and solitude. After the first day of class, I immediately started reading Moving Beyond Treeline...

I’d just wanna be whoopin ass on haters or something. Ugh. Drama can’t just come to you. You have to let it in your doors too.
