Facebook Argument over police
I thought this was a really interesting convo-argument. What’s bothered me in my thoughts is how Americans are disgusted with police. I know because I know at one point in my life I’ve muttered “I hate cops” before. [[MORE]]This thing was like a micro convo of what society argues about at a macro level. I feel like it is a mix of conflict theory, the structure of law and...
I had such a busy day
RTM 101 was an interesting class. The professor is the Australian guy who is into basically what is the only surfing research out there. It was really interesting because everyone was like “I surf” so I felt like they’d rip compared to me. It seemed like a fun class.
Geography 101 was fun too, not by the energy but by the wisdom the professor had to offer. He’s been dean...

Now that the first day of school is over
after sleeping in, breezing in to get a parking spot, and getting to class, nothing was more stressful than just being around masses of people
I feel really programmed to blend in to society and it obviously seems that everyone is expected to look good and I feel that everyone is looking at me which I bet everyone else feels too.
I just wish everyone could just be themselves and share ideas and...

Pet Peeve
when people talk to me for the first time on FB since I can somehow benefit them materially.
I had a great night with Melinda
I haven’t been alone with her in so long and all the ol memories just flew back and we just had a good time and it feels as if the things we do and the feels we have just keep on going and going and I’m just excited yet worried for the future and how things will end up but I think we can get through things and I can become a love master too~

In terms of the environment
I’m at a new environmental awakening. I have never been a true activist of the environment. My whole life, I simply knew to reduce, reuse, recycle…
With the unexpected choice of becoming a park ranger, I have suddenly started to associate myself with the Surfrider Foundation and the Sierra Club.
The battle of “Global Warming” has never been so confusing to me after taking...

Sometimes I just feel so lonely in society
It’s such a hard thing to really speak about. Since no know acknowledges it or speaks out about it, it’s as if it is simply a product of my imagination. Therefore, I will type this to set my mind straight.
Being Asian American in this society, my mind functions with the aspirations of a white person. I want to become a park ranger. I want to work in law enforcement. I enjoy country...
Dammit I'm trying to eat well with my oatmeal and...

I'm at an SDSU party
DD’ing for my brother.
sitting in the host’s room guarding it as I study my geology packet and listen to country on pandora as the top 100’s are bumping outside. The smell of weed and carcinogenic smoke chokes my lungs as I close the door to absorb as many fresh air particles as I can. I can’t help myself but observe the party in a sociological perspective through...

First day working at Cabrillo
I had such a great time and I couldn’t stop smiling when I got home!
It’s so fun to meet all sorts of different people from China, Germany, the East coast, the UK… just giving information and having that lead to amazing conversations…
All the park rangers are so nice to me, the only guy that is intimidating was this senior volunteer, he was very hard to connect to and...

First volunteer day training at Cabrillo
I was welcomed at the gate with no question, got in free, talked to the visitor center volunteer, watched all three movies, read all the plaques around the whole park but the tide pool, read everything at the lighthouse, then read everything at the Bayside Trail. Took 6 hours and saw Melody Takeuchi.
Got home from traffic and crashed for 3 hours and had dreams.
I was basically a mega tourist...
